Counselling Session Fees & Rates
The cost of therapy here at Virtuous Circle Counselling will vary depending on the psychologist or therapist you see and the type of therapy. Our therapy sessions are either in-person or from the comfort of your own home via online therapy sessions.

Insurance Coverage for Therapy Sessions
We offer direct billing to almost all major insurance providers, including Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, and GreenShield.
Coverage depends on your plan and provider type.
Registered Psychologists and Registered Social Workers are widely covered.
Provisional Psychologists can be direct billed to Alberta Blue Cross, GreenShield, and Sun Life. If your insurance is processed through TELUS Health eClaims, you will be reimbursed by your insurance provider after submitting your receipt. Reimbursement is typically processed within 2–3 business days.
You can upload a photo of your insurance card during intake through Jane App, or call our office at (403) 797-0660 and our team will help you get set up.
We recommend confirming your coverage, including how much is covered per session and your total annual amount.
We are an approved service provider for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
For individuals without employer health benefits, our counselling services may be claimed as a tax-deductible medical expense.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards and e-transfers (to be completed at least 24 hours in advance of your session). You will be provided a receipt for your records.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours beforehand. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged for half the rate of the session.
