Why Behind Every Title
As a registered therapist, I’ve had the privilege of sitting with leaders and professionals who, from the outside, appear to have it all together. But behind the success, I’ve seen the pressure, uncertainty, self-doubt, loneliness, and sometimes burnout that can come with leadership.
There can also be an unspoken expectation to stay positive, be resilient, and keep moving forward. But constantly looking for the positive can sometimes prevent us from acknowledging when something is genuinely difficult.
The greater the responsibility, the fewer places there can be to say, “This is hard.”
Again and again, I found myself wishing I could connect people navigating similar experiences. That became the inspiration for Behind Every Title.
A space where accomplished people can put down the title for a moment and have the conversations that often go unspoken.
The title tells us what someone does. It rarely tells us what they carry.
