Mindfulness

Mindfulness is not static, it’s a moment-to-moment state or awareness and consciousness of the here and now. Mindfulness is best experienced when you leave self judgment at the door and it requires practice, practice and more practice because as human’s we are not inclined to be mindful. Making judgements about our experiences can affect us often in unhelpful ways. Mindfulness Based Therapy teaches us to disarm negative thinking patterns, lean into our emotions and free us up to carrying on.

While it is not uncommon for people to equate mindfulness with meditation and while meditating is an extremely powerful way to achieve improved mood and enhanced personal wellness, there are a variety of alternative mindfulness techniques that I can assist you with if meditation is not for you.
